I'm afraid I will always look far younger than my actual age no matter what I do.

Short hair seems a bit sporty. When comparing the two, I think I would rather look too young than sporty. If I can compensate with my choice of clothing, perhaps I can have curls on occasion. I could put on twenty kilograms and look like Schubert but frankly I'd rather not.

Although now that you've mentioned it, I am curious. With my hair styled the way I usually prefer, how old do you think I am?

I am used to it, however. There are a few others like me here, it seems, but most live normal lives.

Some of us, back home, yes. Some of my kind are younger, but still much older than the average person. There are other people here on this planet that are not from my world that are also far older than they appear. So one can never be sure.

It is a pleasure to officially meet you Ms. Takeba. I am Austria, but I also go by Roderich Edelstein if a human name is preferable for you. The reason for the name (and age) is that I am the figurehead for the country itself.

It is indeed complicated when that happens. Being here is the first time it hasn't felt like that sort of thing matters as much. At home it was always strange to work around. Unless it's business related, in which case there isn't any particular sense of attachment.

Which probably sounds odd. I have noticed many people seem to think my sort of existence is a very glamorous one when they hear of it.

I use "Herr" at home, so "-san" is fine.

There is, yes. When I arrived here first, back home it was the year that marked 150 years of diplomatic exchange. I was looking forward to seeing what else had been planned for that year. But I trust he is doing well still.

Like me, he appears to be younger, but as you can probably deduce, he's far older than I am.
